Day of Beauty for Interfaith Council for Homeless Families

On October 25, 2011, JLM's DIAD hosted a Day of Beauty for Interfaith Council for Homeless Families at the Morris County School of Technology. The cosmetology students donated their time and treated several of the women and their children to facials, haircuts, and manicures. Dress For Success and the Nearly New Shop brought clothes for the ladies and their children to pick out. DIAD also brought in a life coach to speak to the families about the importance of developing self-esteem and making healthy life choices. It was a great success and we are planning a second Day of Beauty in the spring.
